Delivery Information

Christmas Deliveries (Orders submitted after 12/12/16)

For any orders submitted after 12/12/16, please do not assume it will make it in time for Christmas. It entirely depends upon the product. We are not guaranteeing ANY delivery as the carriers are beyond our control.

a) If it is a Next Business Day despatch, there is more chance it will make it for Christmas (depending upon your location). We are expecting as of 19/12, that Aust Post will give priority to express parcels over the standard delivery services (which we utilise as part of our free delivery to you). Should you need it urgently and need to upgrade to express for an additional charge, please contact us and we'll do our best to help you. We will require $15 flat rate payment in advance via Paypal preferable (sent manually to orders@rightbuy.com.au).

b) Any product that is a Longer Shipment Product ranges from 3-10 business days handling before despatch from a variety of warehouses around Australia. A variety of carriers including Aust Post and couriers are used due to the nature of products ie some are heavy/bulky/fragile. For these Longer Shipment Products, it is only best endeavours for Christmas.

Post Christmas/January Shipping Orders

Whilst we continue to take orders, limited shipping only begins after New Years given there is only 2 business days where Aust Post are operating their parcel service between Christmas/NYE. Many couriers are on break and not operating at all. Full order shipping will only resume from approximately January 9 with some suppliers still shipping for us earlier, and others having a longer break. Please contact us if you require information on exact shipping timeframes.

2. Getting your Tracking #: 

You would have received in your email (check your spam boxes) a shipment notification from our systems with your tracking #. It will specify whether its a courier or Australia Post (if it doesn't specify, you can assume Australia Post).

Plus,

- For Australia Post, you will receive a Dispatch Notification email from Australia Post on the day it is shipped (and not before, remembering shipment date depends upon the product) with your consignment/tracking number. You can track your order in real time using the consignment number; http://auspost.com.au/track/ and lodge your email to receive tracking updates directly from them.

- You can collect from the nearest Australia Post retail outlet if Aust Post deems they can't leave it safely if you are not present to sign. They'll EITHER leave a card for you with the tracking # or SMS via mobile the tracking #.

- For courier deliveries, you'll receive a Dispatch Notification email from the courier with your consignment number, estimated delivery date and how to track. Please contact us if you need the consignment number to track. PLEASE NOTE COURIERS PLEASE AND TOLL/IPEC HAVE ARRANGEMENTS TO DELIVER TO LOCAL NEWSAGENCIES IF NO ONE IS HOME ON THE FIRST DELIVERY ATTEMPT.

3. Know your Delivery Transit times

Depending upon whether the product you ordered is a 'Next Business Day Despatch' or 'Longer Shipment Product', the timeframes are different as explained below: 

Next Business Day Dispatch Delivery timeframes:

Here are the delivery timeframes to your location on a standard (not express) service with Aust Post (this assumes the product is not a bulky item). Australia Post will not ship bulky items so we need to use couriers and generally you can add a few days to the delivery timeframe.

Note this is NOT a 'guaranteed' service by Australia Post (ie they don't guarantee a certain arrival date). If you require an express service, please read more here.

Longer Shipment Product Delivery Timeframes: 

For all 'Longer Shipment Products' that have a specific Availability on the product page (ie usually ships within n business days), your order will arrive between 5 and 16 business days depending upon your Australian location. Note we state 'usually' but in peak periods (especially Christmas/Easter and winter bedding purchases), it can be a few days longer.

Why the longer shipment timeframe? Some of these deliveries can be from warehouses around Australia directly from suppliers (or are kept offsite and need to be brought to our warehouse first) hence the longer shipping time. We do this so we can offer customers cheaper prices by keeping the products offsite. The products have to come to our warehouse and then we ship out. Please consider this purchase carefully if you do need it urgently as we deliberately offer great prices on these products but that comes with a compromise on delivery timeframes and we generally are unable to meet urgent requests on these goods.

Your emailed courier or Australia Post dispatch notification will advise when it is shipped and any specific delivery dates, otherwise, please just contact us.

How We Deliver

Our primary warehouse is located in Sydney, Australia, supplemented with other locations around Australia. 

The benefits of our FREE Delivery service in Australia are:

  • Cost effective delivery method (using a mix of courier and post) with broad reach across Australia. We'll use Australia Post wherever possible but occasionally have to use couriers (if we need to insure fragile items)
  • Tracking for all deliveries in Australia
  • FREE Simple returns service* (*bulky items are charged for change of mind)

Important Bulky item delivery information

Our FREE Delivery Service does come with conditions attached:

1. Express or 'guaranteed' services cost additional on request. There's more here on Express Services.

2. Public holidays and weekends in Australia are not business days and logistics/carrier services do not operate on these days even if our warehouses are operating therefore, please keep this in mind when determining if your delivery is late. 

3. Deliveries occur between business hours Monday to Friday and can be scheduled for specific days on a best-efforts basis if you advise us. We are unable to specify specific times of delivery during the day on this free standard delivery service.

4. Please note any availability timeframe starts from the time payment is cleared,not when payment is made (ie we may need to wait for bank deposits or echeque payments to clear first). 

5. Unfortunately any delays by Australia Post or other courier services are outside our control and we can’t compensate for this. 

6. Please specify 'authority to leave' during the checkout process if you wish for your order to be left in a safe place. You will be responsible for such items if you specify 'authority to leave'.

7. We do not own the couriers services and they schedule their jobs for all their clients - we cannot control the time of delivery with this free delivery service. If you wish to have a specific delivery time, you are welcome to pay more for an upgraded courier service that can do that. Also note they are contracted to deliver a service to you and should they fail to meet your expectations, please do tell us.

8. We will attempt to collate any orders submitted by and shipped to the same person taken in that day into one shipping lot. Conversely sometimes an order may have products from different warehouses that cannot be shipped in one lot. If you need it shipped in one lot, we'll need to move the goods to one warehouse and then ship for which we would need to charge an additional shipping fee.

9. FREE Delivery is only applied to 1 shipment, that is, if your order contains more than 1 product that have different availabilities, we may need to hold them until we can ship all in one lot. Alternatively, we may need to ship an order in several lots if there is more than 1 product in the order and they come from different locations.

10. If you do require partial shipping ie receive a part of the order in advance, then we may need to apply additional eParcel charges.

11. We generally choose the most cost effective carrier to your address (ie Australia Post or courier) depending upon the product and whether we need to insure it or not. Australia Post DOES NOT INSURE fragile items so we have to use couriers for those. This may delay delivery of your order if you are regional/remote because couriers do not have the network reach of Australia Post. We appreciate the preference for Australia Post in remote/rural areas and will use them as first preference, however it does depend upon the product and warehouse location as some can only be shipped via courier or need insuring. There maybe additional charges if you specifically request Australia Post in such instances as we'll need to do 2 shipments to get it to you (ie courier to us, and then out to you). We also reserve the right to refund you regretfully if we cannot find a cost effective shipping method especially for bulk items to your shipping location.

12. If the order is 'return to sender', we will be unable to reship it for free. Please read more here.

13. For Bulky items delivery with couriers, our free delivery service doesn't neccessarily include a call before delivery. And we may request the customer assist in unloading the truck for heavy items ie like bedframes etc. This is the only way to get cost effective free delivery otherwise we'd need to charge significantly more for a either flatbed truck, 2 man truck delivery or additional services that couriers charge us like call on approach and specific time scheduling.

14. For Bulky items (ie furniture, mattresses  & painting wall art etc), we will deduct the cost of shipping to you and on return (up to $100 each way) if you change your mind.  There's more here on return conditions for bulky items.

I need an Express Service

Our FREE delivery service is a standard service with certain timeframes we deliver to. For a faster or express delivery, importantly, we can only offer an Express Service on products that are 'Next Day Business Despatch'. Please contact us at help@rightbuy.com.au to arrange for a quote and payment. We use Australia Post Express eParcel service with the following delivery timeframes.

Any 'Longer Shipment Product' (more hereexpress service request  is conditional on whether the product comes direct from the supplier or comes to our warehouse first before shipping.

What happens if you are not present to accept delivery?

If you have entered specific delivery instructions in our ordering process to leave your parcel in a safe place, then Australia Post or the courier service will do this and you will not need to sign. Please note that we can't be liable if the parcel goes missing after this.

If no 'authority to leave' is specified, then Australia Post or the courier service will leave you a card for you to either collect your parcel from your nearest Australia Post retail outlet or re-arrange the delivery respectively. Australia Post will hold for 7-14 days before returning to us.  

Courier services will attempt 1 re-delivery based upon a time requested by yourself generally before returning to us. You should receive an email delivery notification advising of when they will attempt to deliver. You are able to contact the courier service to re-arrange delivery if required otherwise please try to be available for delivery as further re-delivery attempts are at the discretion of the local courier depot. They would also levy additional charges on us which would make it difficult to continue to offer this as a free delivery service.

What if the order is 'return to sender'?

If you do not pickup within 2 weeks from Australia Post, they will return it back to us. We will not automatically resend it as Australia Post will charge us another shipment fee and it is at our discretion depending upon the order value if we are able to do this. We will wait for you to contact us before taking any action, and may charge you a fee to redeliver it.

If Australia Post/Courier returns it to us on the basis of 'invalid address', we will not automatically resend it as the carrier will charge us another shipment fee and it is at our discretion depending upon the order value if we are able to do this. We will investigate whether the address was correct and contact you before taking any action, and may charge you a fee to redeliver it if the address was incorrect.

Importantly, if it is returned to us in a damaged state that cannot be easily rectified because of the 'return to sender', we may be unable to issue a refund or a replacement and the product will be sent to you as is. Refunds are reliant upon the goods to be saleable (product warranty claims or product issues under Australian statuory consumer law are excluded from this). More on our return policy here.

International Deliveries

Overseas shipments are available at the standard Australia Post International AirMail rate for each item. It is an untracked and uninsured shipping service but is cost-effective.  Note being air mail, heavy items will make shipping internationally uneconomical in many cases. (We are not in a position to use any other international shipping services at this stage). 

If you require an Express service or Insurance with the Aust Post service please let us know as there will be an additional payment. We can quote it once product and destination is known.

You will receive a consignment number. This is can be used to track international orders if you have requested an Express service (remembering Australia Post International Airmail is an untracked service). You may need to provide ID and a signature when receiving your parcel. 

Shipping costs are provided on checkout of your shopping cart. For International delivery timesframes, please go here to select your country and use Air Mail Post Service as a guide for timeframes.

Please note:

1. Within 48 hours of your payment being confirmed, we will request additional ID for credit card payments (NZ usually excluded on a case by case basis) before we ship to you to avoid fraudulent orders. We appreciate your understanding in advance as we receive large amounts of fraudalent international credit card orders. If your order value is over $200, we reserve the right to refund the credit card and request direct bank transfer payment instead.

To validate your credit card, this will require you to provide a scanned copy of your credit card. The numbers can be blocked out barring the last 4 digits and you can block out the CVV (to protect your privacy) but please have the name showing.

Paypal payments will not require this additional validation as long as we are shipping to the shipping details on the paypal account. However, we will require customers to pay an additional amount to upgrade the service to trackable service to meet the terms of paypal payments.

2. You may need to pay any import duties, customs charges or sales tax to the relevant authorities when the item lands in your country. Please do check if the value of your order may attract your Customs Department attention and advise us if we need to follow any special shipping instructions. Also, please check if your item being ordered is allowed to be imported into your country - we are not able to check every countries import regulations. Kitchen Knives and wool products in particular need careful checking.

3. We also are unable to provide insurance, free returns or replacements if the parcel gets lost or damaged in transit with international orders. Please read here for more details of our Return Policy for International Orders.

4. We also refuse the right to ship the order internationally if we deem it to be too risky, too heavy or not verified to our satisfaction. We will advise within 5 working days of the order received if this is the case.
